Photo Composite – Xmas In April?
Got a decent start today on a photo composite that will eventually be part of a print and web campaign for Modern Christmas Trees . I have quite a bit of work left to do, but it’s lookin’ alright for something that started out as a boring photo of my front hallway.
UPDATE: Here’s the image, moving through the compositing process, and a final(ish) version with some placeholder copy.

Mary Chapin Carpenter
I’m unbelievably excited to announce that Red Light Management, who’s roster includes artists as diverse as Dave Matthews Band, Roni Size, UNKLE, and Rufus Wainwright, has commissioned Site07 to design the new website for 5-time Grammy-winning singer songwriter, Mary Chapin Carpenter.

I’m just absurdly flattered and grateful for the opportunity to work with of one of the most prolific and influential voices in American folk and country music– who, by all accounts, is also a remarkably compassionate, down-to-earth human being.
Besides her phenomenal musical talent, which many critics rank right up there with Roseanne Cash and Dolly Parton, Mary Chapin is also a regular contributor to the Washington Times, and a committed activist, having a long and productive relationship with organizations like CARE and Habitat for Humanity. It’s a genuine thrill to be asked to help out a little — I’ll definitely be burning the midnight oil to come up with something she can be proud of!
And if all that weren’t enough, I’m lucky enough to get to work with two of my all-time favorite people and Colorado homeboys; Bodie Johnson at Red Light, and my crazy-smart development partner and good friend, Tom Benway at VectorDefector.

Motion Design: B&C Studios

Working over the weekend on some ideas for branding and motion design for B&C Studios in Houston, TX.
Trying to cook up a few wildly different concepts for them to choose from– this one has kind of a skanky, glam 1970′s magazine ad vibe goin’ on. Not typically the look I typically gravitate to, but I thought I’d push myself a little out of my comfort zone.

Spring-time Photoshoppery
I couldn’t get to sleep last night, so I messed around a little bit more with my “Adventure” series of image composites.

The weather’s been gorgeous here, and it’s given me the itch to take the camera up into the mountains again. Hopefully the scenario pictured here won’t play itself out.
