DLT Homepage Video
May 20, 2013
The outstanding Denver, Colorado production company, Shutterbliss Cinema, has contracted me to create some cool motion graphics elements for their client, Direct Line Transportation.
I’ll be making logo stingers, a few interstitial graphics, and an animated homepage video for the client’s website.
Here are a few sample frames from the video in progress, as well as a behind-the-scenes look at the 3D semi-truck model I created for the project.

DLT is a shipping logistics company, so I’ll be making a few sequences that feature their ground services, as well as come fun space scenes to illustrate their GPS tracking technology.

Get To Dah Choppah!

Experimenting a bit with the Element 3D plugin for After Effects — putting together some proof-of-concept clips for a short film project I have in mind.

In the first pass of the video below, I was trying to emulate shaky, handheld, war photographer footage. The second pass is a little cleaner, without the camera shake, or missed focus.
More Location Scouting
May 14, 2013
I hit the road on Sunday, and again on Monday, looking for locations to a few portrait sessions– you can view one of them here — as well as some personal work I’d like to pursue this summer.

For what I had/have in mind, I wanted to find a few abandoned farmsteads, and a couple of derelict vehicles, so I headed out to the prairies of eastern Colorado, where it’s not uncommon to find such things.

I guess I had luck on my side, because I stumbled onto a few locations that fit perfectly with what I was imagining.
