Centennial Storage – Promo Video
UPDATE: Here’s a few rough composite clips, combining a small sample of the live footage I shot for the client, along with simple motion graphics. Hoping to refine and expand on this general esthetic for the final promo video.
The iterative process for the website I’ve been designing for Centennial Storage has been fairly extensive and protracted, but I think (thank goodness!) the client’s narrowed it down to a final version.

Having made some progress on the site design, I drove to one of their RV storage locations yesterday to start shooting b-roll and background plates for a promotional video I’m filming to go along with it.
Here’s a few quick concept boards I put together to pitch them on the idea of compositing their sales language as 3D text within the moving shots.

And here’s a couple of my favorite still frames from my videography on the lot.

Motion: TED x ISU
I was fortunate enough to be asked to put together some motion graphics this week for a TEDx presentation being given by the TED organization in cooperation with International Space University.

The footage I was given to work with is all gorgeous, HD time-lapse taken from the International Space Station, so this project was an absolute treat for me, given my long-standing fascination with science and space exploration.
And if that wasn’t cool enough, I got to collaborate with my good friend Todd Jones and 303 Post. He departed Denver a long time ago to set up shop in sunny Los Angeles, but he’ll always be a Colorado guy to me. We only had two days to pull all the motion and editing together, but we got it done! I’m hoping we get to partner again in the future, because this was a ton a fun.

Photo Composite – Xmas In April?
Got a decent start today on a photo composite that will eventually be part of a print and web campaign for Modern Christmas Trees . I have quite a bit of work left to do, but it’s lookin’ alright for something that started out as a boring photo of my front hallway.
UPDATE: Here’s the image, moving through the compositing process, and a final(ish) version with some placeholder copy.

Spring-time Photoshoppery
I couldn’t get to sleep last night, so I messed around a little bit more with my “Adventure” series of image composites.

The weather’s been gorgeous here, and it’s given me the itch to take the camera up into the mountains again. Hopefully the scenario pictured here won’t play itself out.
