Neal McCoy | Web Design

Today, I started design on a temporary splash page for renowned country music artist, Neal McCoy — a simple, but functional platform for Neal to deliver tour, news and other information to his fans while my programming partner, Tom Benway, and I begin development on his full website.

Neal’s team has been a real pleasure to collaborate with; some of the most engaged, enthusiastic clients I’ve ever been lucky enough to work with. Can’t wait to get started on the full site!

Doodles

Just playing around with some sketches in Illustrator, keeping the cobwebs away and seeing if I stumble on anything cool.

Tinkering around with some drawings of my much-missed pooch.  Might hang on to these for some future branding ideas; I kinda like ‘em.

RMC – Product Photography

Earlier this week, I shot a slew of product photos for Colorado custom hat makers, Rocky Mountain Caps, photographing, isolating, and re-touching around 30 pieces of inventory.

These are just a few examples of the company’s extensive “Signature Series”, which include numerous varieties of surgical caps; hats made especially for patients undergoing chemo-therapy; and a line of hats for chefs and bakers.

Though they boast a large collection of pre-made hats, Rocky Mountain Caps distinguishes themselves by offering a virtually limitless selection of bespoke caps, where the customer can pick their own style, fabric, embroidery and applique, to create a truly one-of-a-kind hat.  (The selection is ENORMOUS — their website will include *thousands* of textiles to choose from. It’s CRAZY.).  To that aim, I also created a group of vector art overlays, to allow customers to visualize their creations as they use the site’s “design your own” application to assemble their fancy new hat.

Thank You, Firefighters!

SECOND UPDATE! T-shirts, posters and stickers NOW AVAILABLE for purchase. (Check ‘em out) ALL PROCEEDS will go to benefit the Colorado Red Cross. Order HERE! Thanks! ***

UPDATE! The amazingly generous folks at BADASS Denver print shop, Soapoint Graphics have teamed up with me to make fire-fighter t-shirts available for purchase! ALL proceeds from sales will go directly the Colorado chapter of the Red Cross, to assist in wildfire relief efforts.  A lot of families have been displaced, so anything we can do to help, we should. If you’d like to pitch in, please stop by Soapoint’s online store. The shirts– along with some other goodies — will be up and ready for purchase on Monday, July 9th. THANK YOU!!!

I put together a couple of illustrations today as my small way of showing support and gratitude to the smoke jumpers and municipal fire fighters who are out risking their necks for the rest of us here in my home state of Colorado. ****

Thanks, Firefighters - Facebook Cover Photo

I wish I could do more to show my appreciation, but I thought I could at least lend a little moral support.

If you click on the top picture, you’ll get a photo that’s sized to work perfectly as a facebook cover photo, so if you’d like to save it, and share it, please do. Same goes for the other illustration– feel free to spread it around.

Thanks to all who have pitched in combating the wildfires throughout Colorado, and my hopes and best wishes for those who may have lost a home, or are waiting to find out if there’s bad news.
Hang in there. We’re all behind you.
