UPDATE: view the final photos here.
Took a short trip this afternoon to scout locations for a couple of upcoming portrait shoots. Think I found at least one winner!
Really excited to head back tomorrow with my model!

Mi-Box | Video & Photography
After filming the Vampire 5k event Friday night, I caught a few hours sleep, off-loaded data from 7 cameras, re-charged the batteries and headed out again to shoot time-lapse and commercial photography for Mi-Box Storage in Centennial, Colorado.
Here’s a *very* rough edit of a portion of the time-lapse video, and a few photographs I took for their upcoming web campaign.

Vampire 5K Event Video
Yesterday, I had an inordinate, possibly illegal, amount of fun filming the Vampire 5K running event in Denver. It’s not often that you get to witness nearly a 1,000 people dressed as vampires and their prey, let alone run after them with $30,000 worth of camera equipment. AWESOME.
To help me out with the shoot, I was ridiculously fortunate to have enlisted the incredible talents of Tage Plantell at Silver Halide Pictures, and Brent Murray of Shutterbliss Cinema. I honestly can’t possibly exaggerate how much skill and creativity they brought to the production, and how happy I was to be working with both of them.
Tage was primarily shooting high-speed footage on a Sony FS700, which we’ll be using to give the finished promo some really gorgeous, ultra-slow-motion sequences. Tage is an incredibly gifted camera operator and DOP, and I’m absolutely thrilled we got to team up on this project.
Brent from Shutterbliss was flying an 8-bladed mini helicopter drone, taking aerial footage. The footage he captured is nothing short of STUNNING, and I cannot wait to cut it together with footage taken on the ground.
I would be completely remiss if I didn’t also mention how lucky I was to have the help of a fantastic ground crew, who proved totally invaluable throughout the shoot. Trying to get coverage of a 5 kilometer location with thousands of people would have been impossible to do alone. There’s just no way I could have done it without the assistance of Tim, Dusty, Kris, and Scott. I can’t thank those guys enough. Aside from all their hard work, it was a BLAST hanging out with those guys. We had a ton of fun, and I really hope we get to do it again soon!

Baby Photos & Motion Portrait
UPDATE: You can view the finished results here.
This afternoon, I had the pleasure of spending the day with Tim, Jessica, and their beautiful baby boy, Carter, taking photographs and shooting some video for their family archives.
I couldn’t have asked for a nicer couple to spend the day with!
From there, I’ll begin editing a motion portrait for Carter, who turned out to be quite the character in front of the camera.
Just so you know– if you hire me to take your photograph, and you own pets… when you’re not looking, I’ll probably photograph them too.
