My Roles
- Creative Direction
- Interface Design
- Motion
- Editing
I created this promotional video during my tenure at Liquid Compass, a Denver, Colorado based streaming media provider, to help them advertise their line of Flash-based streaming media players.
In addition to designing and animating the actual working product featured in the video, I was also tasked with translating the sales department's language into a viewable narrative via storyboards, and then executing them as motion-graphics in After Effects.
This project was particularly challenging, as it was one of my earliest forays into After Effects. And to demand a little more of me, I was also asked to re-cut the piece, to match some very-last-minute voice-over narration. In order to meet the deadline, I had to dig down for some mighty fast mouse-clickin'. In the version shown here, I've omitted the voice-over and restored the video to it's original edit, which I thought possessed much better timing in the animation.
The music you hear is "Dictaphone's Lament" by Tycho.
